The start of a very exciting journey!
Meggie Fan Scydam is a 5 years old studbook mare by Epke 474. Arrived in Scotland in 2024 unbacked. She started being trained under saddle at the start of 2025 and only hacked for the first couple of months. She did her first intro dressage tests at the end of April, scoring 69% and 71% with which gaining 1st place in each. Since then Meggie has been growing in confidence out at different venues, gaining super results along the way. Her highest score so far was an incredible 78% at prelim level.Â

At the beginning of September Meggie went to her first Championship and finished prelim silver in 3rd place at the Scottish Dressage Championships 2025! With only 1% behind the winning score.
Her next event was at a local dressage club where she was 1st in the prelim and novice classes of the Tayside Dressage Group annual trophy show.

We are also excited to have qualified for the British Dressage Associated Championships at prelim and novice level. This is the first year Friesian horses are able to take part, in a new Baroque section, we are delighted to have the opportunity to be involved.Â

I have so much fun with this little mare and really adore her for being the cheeky, intelligent and happy little girl that she is.
We have had such a fantastic start to our journey together and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Meggie 🥰
