Scottish Endurance Riding Club – Tentsmuir – 14.04.13

Yesterday was a miserable cold, windy day with driving rain at times but despite the weather Oscar and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day out. We completed a 31k endurance ride at Tentsmuir, which never fails to be a fantastic venue. We haven’t done any pleasure/endurance rides for several months so Oscar was keen to get back out and about.  He had great fun playing chase through the forest but thoroughly disgusted at being asked to slow down and walk in parts, when asked to walk he did make a few beautiful demonstrations of piaffe but it is just a shame we were not in a dressage test and his only audience were the trees! Tentsmuir was a great start to the season for us and I am looking forward to getting out on lots more rides this year.

It was very well organised and the route well marked out which makes the whole day so enjoyable. Thank you to all who made the event such a success and also to Andy for being our crew for the day 🙂
