R.I.P Athena

Date posted: November 6, 2009

We are all devestated at the the loss of our beautiful filly Athena, she was only 1.5 years old and we sadly lost her in the early hours of the morning to grass sickness.

It came as a massive shock to us all as Athena was such a healthy girl and only at the start of her life. She was a beautiful filly with such a loving nature. Grass sickness is a horrific disease and there is still little known about the cause and treatment. I am just thankful that Athena did not have to suffer as she died within 9 hours of being diagnosed and passed away while we were with her. It is such a waste of her life but the short time she had was good and she had never known any bad, she was born with us and died with us, she died in almost in the exact spot where she was born. Our baby girl will always be remembered.
