Oscar

Louise and Oscar

Date posted: 5th August 2009

This is one of my most rewarding strories so far…

I bought a little horse named Oscar at the end of 2008, unseen and from a private seller. When he arrived I felt so sorry for him as he was in such poor condition. He was very underweight showing all of his ribs, hips sticking out, his hooves were in desperate need of attention and he was full of worms. He looked so bad that the transporter had phoned me to pre warn me of the state he was in.
Everyone who met this horse absolutely loved him because he had such a kind nature and he loved people. After many months of feeding him up, breaking, training and building his muscle up he started to really stand out. At this point I decided he was ready to be rehomed and shortly after advertising him, Louise came to try him.
Oscar was such a special horse so I was so glad when Louise offered him a home as they were a perfect match and I knew she would look after him well.

” Just thought id send you an update on Oscar. He has settled in perfectly! I really cant sing his praises enough! He is a perfect gentleman and an absolute pleasure to own! Everyone who has met him (farrier, saddler, vet etc) love him and all of the locals know his name. He seems to be quite a celebrity, whenever I ride him out I get people saying hello to him. We have been having so much fun with him. He regularly leads the way on rides hes never been on before because his two riding companions (three times his age) are wimps! I am just so glad I found your website hes such a little sweetie I couldnt imagine life without him.
I would happily recommend you to anyone looking for a special horse!

Louise and Oscar”

Rehabilitating and rehoming horses like Oscar makes my job so worth while and that is exactly why I work in the horse industry!
