Mane plaiting is thought to be a way of marking horses for theft. We always recommend that you contact the police if this happens, and if possible move the horse.pony to a different field. Stagger visiting times to your horse as your normal routine may have been clocked. Take a photograph of the plait before removing it, and of course contact us.
