Friesian horse show 2020

This year has been so limited for horse events, be it showing or dressage etc which has been frustrating for competitors. So many events had to be cancelled all over the country due to the Corona virus and then all of the rules and regulations following the outbreak made everything a logistical nightmare at times. We decided after much thought that we would host a very small scale Friesian horse show this time, purely to enable some of the owners to get their horses out for the day. We had lots of restrictions in place in order to keep everyone safe and unfortunately this meant that we couldn’t allow spectators this year. We split the classes so that we only had a maximum of 6 per class. Also this year we had the classes for both Friesian and Barock Pintos, which seemed to work well. We had a wonderful day with friendly competitors and everyone just happy to back out at a show again.  Our showing judge was Mrs Sandra Yeaman and judging the dressage was Mrs Hannah Burns, both of whom did a great job so a special thanks to them. Our photographer Robert Kilpatrick stood out in the cold the whole day and captured some super shots of the competitors and their horses, which we all appreciate as is lovely to have these memories recorded. Thank you to all helpers and competitors for making the day run smoothly.
